About The Owners
While celebrating a milestone birthday in Hyannis in 2016 with dear friends, we experienced the towns and beaches of the Cape.
WE were enchanted.
The following year, during a family vacation elsewhere that was everything but relaxing, we looked at each other and said,
“Let’s go to back to the Cape.”
After owning a vacation home for 20 years in New England, and happily having sold it in 2014, we thought, “Should we do it again?” Could we find a property that could at least meet the experience we had? We didn’t think it was possible.
And then we did!

Why this Neighborhood?
“The Avenues” located in Seaside Park

In August 2017, we decided to explore the towns on Cape Cod. This time the beaches, restaurants, the community of local artists and activities amazed us with so much to do and see. With more than 20 years of experience as vacation rental home owners, we knew what we wanted in a new house, and we knew what we wanted to be different. An open floor plan to welcome family and friends without feeling cramped. A kitchen large enough for our whole family at the holidays. High ceilings and spacious living areas. And proximity to the beach, as we had grown weary of crowded beaches, with no available parking or bathroom facilities.
We found it!
Located in Seaside Park, known as the “Aves,” with a private association beach, kayak storage, and a location accessible to everything, yet outside of the heavy summer traffic. Working with our decorator, our home received all new paint, furnishings, bathrooms, appliances, flatware, linens… if you can name it, we’ve done it. The mechanical systems needed to be updated, so we did. A new boiler, new tankless on demand hot water system, and central air conditioning. We ran a new gas line to install a gas cook top in the kitchen and a natural gas grill on the deck. No more refilling of propane tanks!
Located in a quiet neighborhood
The “Aves” is an area of West Hyannisport that avoids congestion and traffic. Located near all the activities you may want in a vacation, and in a quiet, sought-after neighborhood. This is our Cape Escape! The home is easily accessible to everything to do and see on the Cape. Main Street in Hyannis, with its 120 shops and restaurants (many of them Zagat-rated), is just 2 miles from our house. Enjoy the private resident-only beach at the end of our street, and the sandy haven of Craigville Beach is just 1 mile away.
Why this Home?
A Unique Space
The open floor plan and square footage make this house unusual for the area. With an abundance of natural light including the skylights, the hardwood floors, the generously sized bathrooms, the private yard, the separate living areas for three generations of family in the house at once, this house has it all.
When we walked in and saw the high ceilings and open floor plan, we knew this home presented a unique opportunity for our family to come back to New England. To relax. To enjoy spending time together as a family. We sat on the front porch and watched the families strolling to the beach with their wagons. We enjoyed the privacy of the back deck and the fully fenced yard. Every day, every season, this house makes us feel like we were always meant to be here.
